The MS906PRO supports four methods for vehicle identification: Auto VIN Scan, Manual VIN Input, Automatic Selection, and Manual Selection, through which you're able to access all the diagnosable ECUs on the vehicle and run diagnostics on the selected system. With the bi-directional control, it's easy and quick for you to identify the problems as the diagnostic tool is able to transmit control commands to operate the vehicle systems and tell you the running conditions.
Bi-Directional Control – Precisely Locate Car Problems
Featuring bi-directional control, this Autel intelligent diagnostic tool – Autel bluetooth scanner MS906 Pro, can output the commands to ECUs, read the ECU data and monitor the operation of the actuators. Through active tests, also called actuator tests, this bi-directional diagnostic scanner can precisely locate the car problems, letting you quickly know whether a specific system, component, or subsystem is functioning properly or not.
- For example, If a fuel pump is not working and leads to ignition failure, it could be a faulty pump, wiring, relay, or command. By turning the fuel pump on and off via the MaxiSys MS906 Pro, you can quickly determine whether it’s a wiring, relay, or pump issue without removing any parts.
- Here are some other examples of active tests, which help you locate faults in the shortest time, saving time on troubleshooting:
1. Cycle the a/c clutch on and off;
2. Switch the interior lights on and off;
3. Active tests for inside mirrors, exterior mirrors (high version only), adaptive headlamp, steering wheel heating, windows, wash/wipe system, horn, reset starter lock, etc.
AutoAuth Access: Bypass SGM in FCA Vehicles
With the 2022 version Autel scan tool MS906Pro, you now have access to the security gateway module on 2017 and newer Fiat Chrysler vehicles, so that the diagnostic tool can clear codes, run bi-directional active tests, actuations, relearns or even IMMO key programming (pulls PIN & write), ADAS calibration assistance etc.
- Autel has made this process very simple to access with 3 simple steps:
- Authorize: register an AutoAuth account online via diagnostic tablet or computer.
- Confirm: register your Autel diagnostic scanner under your AutoAuth account. Follow the diagnostic procedures in scanner and log in your AutoAuth account.
- Access: now you have the immediate authorized gateway access to FCA SGW-equipped vehicles. Note that the diagnostic scanner needs to have the latest software (valid software subscription is required).

Differentiating from MS906, MS906S, MP808K, MP808BT, MP808BT Pro Autel scanner, MS906 Pro automotive diagnostic tool is designed with more complete and advanced ECU coding functions that allow you to refresh the hidden features, customize the OE settings and enhance the vehicle performance.
1) ECU Coding can match the component control modules after repair or replacement and modify the code to finish the personalization. When the code data is lost you can operate the MS906 Pro bi-directional scanner to receive the online data from the server and code the car easily via the Internet to recover the vehicle performance.
2) Personalization Function has enriched the business of repair stores. It can flash the hidden features to Disable some annoying
