Mercedes Benz WIS EWA NET
The WIS net DaimlerChrysler AG’s aim is to improve the electronic availability and usefulness
of the workshop documentation (e.g. repair, maintenance, basic data, wiring diagrams and in part also documentation organization) of Mercedes-Benz and smart products by optimizing access and presentation.
WIS net also offers integration to neighboring task areas such as e.g. definition of work units and flat rates using ASRA, and damage coding on one workstation.
When you open Ewa error shortcut
It has an error “HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found”
Let’s start fixing the error together
Open Local Disk (C) → Program Files (x86) → EWA → server → Conf → Copy server.XML to desktop
Right click on server.XML → Open with → Notepad
Ctrl + F and Convert all 9000 to 9001 → Save
Copy this file back to the “Conf” folder
Open Local Disk (C) → Program Files (x86) → EWA → config
We will do the same with the files: core_cfg, epc_cfg, wis_cfg
Search EWA on Window → Right click on EWA → More → Open file location
Right click on EWA → Sent to → Desktop (Create shortcut)
Right click EWA → Properties → Change 9000 to 9001 → Apply → OK
Search EWA → Right click on EWA Admin Tool → More → Run as administrator
Click on Server → Stop EWA server → Confirm
Click on Start EWA server
Double click on EWA → Enter user and Password → Login → Change password
User: admin
Password: admin
Click on Workshop → Enter Workshop name and select country
Click on Group → Create → Enter Group, Description → create
Click on user → create → Enter User, Password, Confirm password → Select Group → Enter First name, Last name → Select User role → Create
Log off and Log back in
Click on EPC → open file
Fix error Applicatiopn Bloked:
Open Configure Java in windows
Click on Security → Edit Site List… → Add → paste Location → ok → continue → OK
